Steiner Ranger Pro 8x42 pencott badlands teaser
In the field: Steiner Ranger Pro 8x42
Here are a few pics of the steiner ranger pro 8x42 in "action"
Even in this foggy fall environment the binoculars offer a great chrystal clear view.
If you take a clother look you can see a fieldjacket with a modified pencott badlands camo pattern.
Details to this will follow soon.

++++ Binoculars update ++++
I'm happy to tell you that the Steiner 8x42 Ranger pro model does not have the problem with the reflections from latterns etc.
So it's taken place in my gearlist.
Today I found a picture from June 2014 with some of the stuff I used:
Here another one with some cold weather gear:
Maybe I will upload an updated version of my gear in the next few days.

Right now I'am searching for new binoculars. There for I ordered 3 different models to compare them.
All are from the well known German optics company Steiner.
The first 2 are the "Steiner Wildlife pro 8x30" and the "Skyhawk pro 8x42"
Both of them work excellent for me especially in daylight conditions.
But in the evening I've noticed some differences in the perfomances.
I allready mentioned that the 8x42 model will offer a little bit more light owed to the larger lense, but in comparison to the 8x30 the Skyhawk offered a problem in creating some kind of a ball of light around lanterns and other lightning objects.
Now I'am waiting for anoter 8x42 - the Steiner Ranger pro I'am very interested how it will perform and I hope it will reduce those lightnings like the wildlife pro. With the 42 diameter lense it should be a good universal binoc for my claims.
On the website www.allbinos.com is said that it performs very similar like the Skyhawk.... we will see.

Multicam goes multicam tropic
Let's start with a little DYO project I made this year.
I have to say tha I allready uploadet the pictures on another website.
My plan was to dye the famous camouflage pattern Multicam with green to get a more effective pattern for mid Europe.
Here are the results:
Here you see the result next to a trouser in #Pencott Greenzone (left) and another in #Pencott Badlands (right).
